A Poem by Luke Ritta
"

a small poem about that tragic day when JFK was assassinated.

"

November 22nd 1963

Bobby

Stares into the void as he mourns the death of his brother.

Jackie’s

Pink dress falls to the floor, her body collapses into a torrent of tears.

Khrushchev

Stands in hunting moonlight as he looks up at the Kremlin with a smirk on his face.

Castro

Sucks on his cigar as he blows smoke rings across a field of sugarcane.

Oswald

Pulls a trigger three times one afternoon in the state of Texas.

oh my. shots heard round the world ....... brilliant in its brevity and gravity. this was definitely one of those "where were you ..." days one never forgets. i was a kid, but it could've been just yesterday.

thanks for the commemoration. well done. ;)
