My Brother and PoolA Story by Luke Sills
Anyone have siblings? I have an older brother. He's two years older, in fact. Having an older brother is weird. Especially if you're a guy. Growing up, it was a lot like having an older version of me walking around in the same house that I live in. A lot of times I remember admiring the things he did. I didn't admire them be because they were smart things to do, I admired them because he would survive at least two years after he did it. It was almost like a guaranteed success plan. I knew that I could do the same thing and I knew exactly what would happen. It was kind of like at the end of a TV show where it's like "Next time on Top Chef! Chef Dean gets away with double homocide!" In fact, I remember a time several years ago when we were playing pool in our basement. Except, he had a different way of playing pool where instead of hitting the ball with a stick, he would take the stick and launch it at the wall. And this one time, he actually got it lodged into the wall. I was like 10 years old so I hadn't seen anyone play pool before. All I knew, is that he was pretty dang good at it. And here we are, 12 years later and he still hasn't gotten in trouble.
