Hush

Hush

A Poem by Luiza Greneholf
"

A recent little something - hopefully self-explanatory.

"

Hush there, hush!

Ask the city to desist

How dare it speak over me?

Ask the wind to rest,

And the sky to falter

Not a voice must sound

Nor one foot fall

Freeze, just where you are,

Doors and floorboards, leaves along the sandpaper flagstones

Hush now, be silent.

Everything must stop,

For my heart is trying to speak.
