The Mirror

The Mirror

A Poem by RamenNoodlesX

The Mirror

Love is a broken dream,
a reality shown in a shattered mirror.
Filled with hopes we wish to redeem.
But the distorted dream becomes clearer,
As we both gaze at our own reflections,
that resides in both the mirror and our eyes,
Showing all of our sad tribulations,
and the truth that hides in those broken lies.

We try to pick up the glass shards,

but our hands alone are not enough.
They always fall like a house of cards,
the blood on our hands make it tough.

But you cannot fix what is not broken,
and though this broken mirror may show you and I.
Our blood, sorrow, and tears leave it soaken,
with the misery of asking how and why?
The light reveals the monsters we are,
and the dark hides the love we hate.
For we threw our hearts in love's black jar,
hoping that what cannot be seen can somehow create.

Our own hands broke the glass sea,
but our hearts are still holding on...
To a broken image we will always see,
even if our love is broken and gone.
