Bed DreamsA Poem by RamenNoodlesXFor my queen~
I am sleeping in a king sized bed made for us two,
But what's a king's bed without a queen. This kingdom of sheets and pillows were meant for you. Soft dreams without you turn swiftly lean. Shimmering eyes yearn periodically for love throughout the virgin night. Searching through the comfy mounds for a hand, a body, or a soul to grip. The pain stricken human heart craves the savory taste of love in the night. As the mind wishes for a sweet kiss upon thy lip. So soft the dream that comes to me, So rough the reality that strikes out at soul! The love I see will never be, The truth hidden behind clouds has taken its toll. I cannot go on each night with the pain that fills me with gloom, For there are cruel monsters lurking beneath both our beds. The monsters torments us both even in the safety of our room. The monsters are inner demons sown to us by threads. Thy monster keeps your love life its hands, And my own dark monster enslaved my happiness. The nightmares come rushing in daily bands, My dreams are filled with only you which brings me sadness. I will always sleep softly alone, And you perhaps will one day find peace as you rest, For that bed is all I have ever known. But I forever hope that all your dreams be blessed. © 2014 RamenNoodlesX |
