For so long, he was a friend;

Just a friend, but a close one.

I never knew how I felt about him

Until I was told his feelings for me.

 

The joy I felt fill my veins;

The way my heart skipped a beat

And I couldn't stop grinning

Made me realize he is the one.

 

The one that makes me laugh

And would never forgive himself

If he caused me to shed a single tear

With or without the intention to.

 

The one that is not afraid

To let me know how he feels but

Instead takes great joy in telling me

Just how much I mean to him.

 

The one that is my perfect half;

The one that I can fall for

Without fear of getting hurt

The one... that is my one.
