Sleeping

i decided to write a poem to use as my away message on AIM when i was sleeping. This is what i wrote.

eyes drooping
the thought of sleep
looming overhead
like a dog ready
to attack

the bed
sitting there
so warm
so soft
so inviting

i fall into it
letting the warmth
wrap around me
as sleep fills my eyes
and draws them closed

my mind drifts away
to random happy thoughts
as they morph into dreams
and sleep relaxes the muscles
tensed from a long day

sleep
so inviting
so loved by all
is where i'll be
for hours on end.
