Our Little Secret

Our Little Secret

A Poem by Ally Baker

I stare at him

And he stares back

His eyes are like crystals

Glistening in the sunlight

His hair looks like

Pitch black cotton

What are you staring at

They ask me

I look at them

Like they are crazy

That boy over there

I tell them

I look back to him

A whisper of a smile

Crosses his lips

As he puts his finger to them

Telling me to be quiet

There is no boy ther

They tell me

I look away from him again

Yes there is

I insist

I look back to see him

Fading into the wind

As i hear a low chuckle

And a voice that says

It's our little secret
