“Dr. Leegan welcome to the show. We are very glad that you have decided to join us today as the leaders of the other two Counties have decided to keep their comments private,” says the host, Trina Burns of the Whoa! Is it Real? show.

“Thank you for having me Ms. Burns-”

“Please, call me Trina.”

“Okay, Trina, well yes I understand that I am the only one of the 3 Counties to choose to talk publicly about them. I believe that it is important for Mortals to know everything they possibly can about Crystals. They need to know that they do not need to be afraid of them,” Dr. Leegan says, not bothering to look at the hover cam.

A confused look crosses Trina’s face. “What do you mean by Mortals and Crystals, Dr. Leegan? Surely you are not referring to the now extremely rare gem, are you?”

“No I can assure that I am not. You see, I am not sure what other scientists might call it. But us, special scientists, like to call normal humans Mortal and the ones with abilities Crystals,” Dr. Leegan tells Trina as he fixes his sun glasses which have begun to slip down his nose.

“Now I have two questions for you, sir. My first is why do you call them Crystals?”

“We have nick named them Crystals for the reason of they are extremely rare in these times. Even though there are now 3 Counties in the world, each one is not very populated. My county which lies on the land mass that was once a series of islands known as Hawaii, has only about 50 people populating it. The other two colonies have about 80 people in them.”

“Wow, so few for such a large land mass. Why do the three Counties not join together to form a larger populated County?” Trina asks, leaning forward showing that her curiosity in this matter is genuine and not faked as it is on so many of her other episodes.

“Well, we all believe that in the next 200 years or so, most of the world’s population will be Crystals and there will be very few Mortals left at all. Eventually, we also believe that there will be no Mortals.”

Trina’s eyes grow with the shock of hearing this for the first time. “Wow, that would be something wouldn’t it?”

“Yes, yes it would. Now I believe that you had another question for me Ms. Bur- I mean Trina?”

She sits upright again in an instant, trying to regain her professional posture. “yes, I did have another question for you. It is somewhat personal, so please feel free to not answer me.” She waits for Dr. Leegan to nod, telling her to go ahead and ask the question. “Well, Dr. Leegan, I was wondering why most Crystals wear sunglasses whenever on camera or talking to Mortals face-to-face.”

Dr. Leegan chuckles, letting a soft smile come over his lips. “Truthfully, Trina, I was very much hoping that you would ask that question. You see, Crystals’ eyes are much different than Mortals’. Well most of them. Some Crystals have Mortal eyes.”

“I am afraid I don’t quite follow what you are saying Doctor.”

He smiles to her. “I understand. Trina, did you know that I am a Crystal, myself?”

Trina gasps, shaking her head.

“Then allow me to show you how Crystal eyes are different than Mortal eyes.” Dr. Leegan reaches up to remove his special sunglasses which were made to especially hide his eyes. Slowly, he pulls them off, his eyelids closed.

Trina leans in close wanting to get a good look at his eyes when they opened. Suddenly, his eyelids flash open, revealing the strangest eyes that she had ever seen. Where Mortals’ eyes were white, his were silver. The irises and pupils of his eyes were a sparkling gold color. They weren’t such sparkling because of the wondrous color of them, they were reflecting the camera lights, actually sparkling.

Trina jumps back, surprised beyond what she expected. “Whoa!” is all that she can say in response to his eyes.

“Trina! Can I talk to you for a minute?” Dr. Leegan asks, following her after they had said goodbye to the audience.

She turns around, her short blonde hair staying place while her petite body spins like a ballet dancer. “Sure, Dr. Leegan-”

“Please Trina, we are no longer on the show’s set, call me Roy.” She smiles and nods as she motions to two plush chairs in the staff lounge.

“What is it you wanted to talk about Roy?” she asks, noticing the tingly chill that runs up her spine when she calls him by his first name. Do not even think about it, she silently scolds herself. A man like that has to be married. She lets her eyes do a quick once-over though.

She notices his sandy blonde hair, messy yet still neat and professional looking sitting atop his head, his perfect tan and shiny white teeth, and the small dimple he gets on his right cheek when he smiles crookedly. Also, she notices the way his dress shirt is tight across his chest showing that he must be strong. His broad shoulders are luring and Trina can just imagine laying her head on one of them.

“I need to talk to you about your future,” Roy tells her, his strange statement bringing her back to the here and now.

“My… future?” she asks, puzzled.

“Yes. That is one of my abilities-”

“One?! You have more than one?!”

“Yes but that is besides the point. When I shook your hand at the end of the show, your future was shown to me. You are going to be the mother of a Crystal with many abilities.”

Trina’s face lights up with joy. “A child?! But I am not even married. I am only a Mortal though, how can I have a Crystal child??” she asks while sheer joy and bliss takes over her system.

“That is why I thought I should talk to you. I also know who the father of your Crystal child is going to be…” he tells her. Trina just sits there, waiting for the rest of it. He takes a deep breath before continuing. “The father of your Crystal child is … or rather is going to be me.”

Her mouth hangs open in complete shock. He is not finished though.

“You are going to be almost a queen to the people of Leegan County after you birth our child. Your name will be passed down for generations in our family for every first born girl. And I was right about Leegan County and all the others. They are going to cover the world in only 150 years. The name Trina Leegan will be known all over the world.” He waits for a reaction from her. He knew that it would be a very overwhelming thing to tell her, but it was important to let her know.

Once Trina returns from her faraway stare, she smiles at Roy. “So are you going to propose to me? Or are you just going to assume I will do all of that without marrying you?”

Shocked by her instant and positive reaction, Roy smiles back at her.
