The Girl in the Corner

The Girl in the Corner

A Poem by Ally Baker

Sitting
Alone

In the corner

Shaking

From her own

Isolation

So cold

People stare

She stares back

With her darkly outlined eyes

Through a thick curtain of jetblack hair

That covers her face

No one dares to approach

The girl in the corner

She's dangerous

Is what they all think

But the real truth is

She is scared

She is lonely

She is sad

She is fragile

She is

The girl in the corner
