She Knows, He Knows

this is kind of a long poem,

i see her from across the room

she is looking at me too

she smiles for old time's sake

for we used to be the best of friends

but now all i can manage to do

is plaster a fake smile on my tired face

i watch as she cringes

when the bruises under my eyes are exentuated

because she knows

she is the reason why they are there

her eyes rift over my body

noting each thing she has caused

my hair is full of knots

and dull without shine

she caused this

she knows

her eyes note the baggy oversized hoodie

which cannot hide my bony body

for i cannot eat

this is because of her

she knows

her eyes not the way

my arm is tight around my torso

as if it will split apart

from the heartache if i dont

this is because of her

she knows

and once again her eyes

go to the bruises and bags

beneath my eyes

caused by many sleepless, crying nights

this is because of her

she knows

i dont understand

how she could've dnoe this to me

for we were the best of friends

i dont understand

how she could just take something

so near and dear to me

and leave me to become this

her eyes pull away from me

with no hint of regret at what she caused

and her eyes land on him

i let out a whimper of pain

they eyes land on me

this is because of them

she knows

he knows

his eyes note everything about me as well

the baggy clothing

my bony body not hidden

the tangled lifeless hair on my head

my arm tight around my torso

the bruises under my eyes

this is all because of him

because of her

he knows

i try fighting the pain

but i am too weak

for there is nothing to give me strength

long ago when he said goodbye

he dropped my hear and let it shatter

to this day

i have not been able to put it back together

he knows this

she knows this

i fall to the ground

giving up

surrendering

to the horrible pain

as it takes over

every cell of my body

i let out sobs

and mangled cries of pain

i usually save for nights

when i am all alone

but i am too weak now

and i sob

and i cry out in pain

this is because of her

she knows

this is becuase of him

he knows

but they do not help me

just as they did not that first time

they simply avert their eyes

and walk away

still knowing

they caused this pain

as i lay on the ground

i think of when it was just he and i

and he had not met her yet

when i loved him

& he knew

& she knew

but that did not stop them

after they did meet

from betraying my trust in both

my heart would never be whole again

he knew

she knew

but still they did it

and left me this way because of it

he knew

she knew

that this was what would become of me

but no matter what he knows

no matter what she knows

they only care for themselves

no matter what pain is caused to others

It was kinda long but it was worth the read.
I really liked this piece. Once I started reading it I couldn't stop.
There were a few minor spelling mistakes but I really liked this poem anyways.
