You Are Not the Same

You Are Not the Same

A Poem by Ally Baker

You used to look at me and stare

and talk to me with ease

You would make me laugh

and act as thought I was the only one there

You would tease me with a smile

but quickly take it back

You told me

you never meant anything

mean you said to me,

that you were always joking.

I do not see you

for the longest time

Things have changed

You are not the same

When you look at me

it is different in your eyes

but the same too

You do not talk as much

but stil make me laugh at times

When you tease

its to make your friends laugh

You high five them

and do not take it back

I do not know what changed

or why it did

I know you are not

the same anymore

I like this poem. Change is a rough thing. It's hard to except. I like this poem. I think almost everyone can relate to it. Well actually everyone because everyone changes & witnesses change.

I've seen this happen to tons of people, and the truth is that once you've changed there is no going back. i think you let us know partially how you felt, but i feel like there is more emotions and feeling to get out. sometimes it's hard to say how you feel, but i think you did a pretty good job here....

keep it up!
