The ClosetA Poem by Joshua Ramirez~ August 29, 2017 ~Sneaking
shadows, creaking silence, I
stay still. Darkness
skulks amidst them, I
stay still.
The
lies fly right through them, I
can see past it. The
concrete-minded door closed, I
can see past it.
The
window flies open, the smell erased, It
hooks onto me. Secrets
held within, none have escaped, It
hooks onto me.
Can
I leave the darkness? Can
I open the secrets? Can
I let loose the scents? Can
I unlock the truth?
“No.” “No,
not yet.”
They
tell me no, I
cannot leave. When
I can leave? How
much longer?
“In
due time, be patient.”
Locked
in blackness, I must work behind it. With
patience, light bourgeons. How
long will it take for that to happen? “Shhhh,
soon.” © 2017 Joshua RamirezAuthor's Note
