love

love

A Poem by Miss Habit

A dream I once had
of a time containing
no sadness

warmth was found
yet so unexpected

in a freezing land
everything was perfect

I learned to accept it

skies filled with dark

rolling clouds that
opened themselves up
as I did for you

so perfectly
you fit into me

you made my heart race
put some red on my face

inspired desires

I hadn’t felt before

my curiosity craved
to know you more

I wondered if it was

just lust
that has me feeling
stuck

in a childhood crush

all I want is for

you

to be near

me

you’re

so far away

seeing you in my dreams
isn’t nearly close enough

how strange
it was

for you
to want me, too

so often I am met with rejection

you are filed
in your own little section

LOVE

you must of fed me
love potion

well

whatever it was

I enjoyed every moment
and every motion

I’m sorry
to have scared you so

if single is where

you’d rather be
then I’ll just have to

come to terms

if with me

is what you desire
I promise

to take you higher
than you’ve ever been

I’m not trying to convince you
I just want you to know

I miss you.

So soft and so naked (emotionally).
Not wanting to go there (mentally) I find this piece
encouraging.

The devotion of a heart facing a tragic truth. Distance, circumstance, so many forces pressure the crystal fragility of love. You nailed it here sweet one. Very touching and something I can relate to.

One small tech issue....Could you break the stanzas to give the reader a breather. Don't mess with the content just give a refrain or two. :-)
