Wildflower

Wildflower

A Poem by Miss Habit

A windblown seed,
resilient weed,
wildflower freed,
no conceding to the heat of the sun,
or the crushing weight of anyone,
fueled by morning dew,
sprinkles of pain and tears like rain,
encourage the unheeded growth,
a blossom rarely seen,
a scent seldom sniffed,
the beauty never picked,
a resilient weed,
wildflower,
me.
