Love Lost

Love Lost

A Poem by Susan M. Fenn
"

I don't even remember when I wrote this one... it no longer applies, but I like it just the same...

"

It feels good, it feels right
Standing on the edge of a cliff of emotions
It feels good, it feels right
Following your heart never seemed easier
Cautious whispers flutter through the attic
But, it feels good, it feels right

Time passes, it feels good, it feels right
Cautious whispers flutter through the attic
Everything changes, time spent is lost
The flying hours turn to drowning minutes
It felt good, it felt right

Cautious whispers turn to accusations
On the edge of turmoil, boiling inside
It felt good, it felt right
Plans trickle through the hour glass
It felt good, it felt right
In the end, a fools game was played

Nothing left, shadows of a memory
Memories that will never be needed
Passages from old letters
Nothing more than smoldering ashes
Listening is over, there are words left unspoken
All thats left to be said
It felt good, it felt right
