Rx For The Mind

Rx For The Mind

A Poem by Lucius Vaul

In these four walls
light dims daily
and unseen voices cry out
in a constant song of sorrow

Fractured reality
becoming the norm
what is, what was
what will become of me now

Sinking, drowning,

gasping for that final breath
that will pull me back
from the brink of my own destruction

And they...just watch,
perched upon their high horses
analyzing, picking to pieces ...waiting
for that inevitable fall

Interesting how this goes. I read through it twice. It feels like an asylum as well as a test maze for a rat. Only you are the rat. You should read "The Master and Margarita". It's a brilliant satire on society that I think you would really enjoy.
