You Forgot...A Poem by Lucius Vaul
You forgot the light that your smile once held,
that sunshine glow of summer days. The warm rays beating down upon your face, which now seems frozen in sadness. You forgot the heartbeat of the oceans waves, as they crash upon the rocky shore. The salty mist filling the air has become the tears of a thousand sorrows you hold. You forgot the stars that once lit your eyes, the grandeur of a midsummer's eve. Which now seem so clouded, distant, extinguished. © 2011 Lucius Vaul |
