When You Were Young

Just a little something that came to me. Hope you enjoy! :]

When you were a child

You had your life planned out.

     When really, you didn't know what you wanted;

You didn't yet understand what life was about.

 

But the one thing you had right,

Was the idea to find someone

To love and call yours;

 With whom you are able to have fun.

 

When you were told love didn’t exist

At the age of ten

You knew it couldn't be true!

Even then.

Fast forward to today.

You have the best boyfriend you could ask for.

One who is gentle with your heart

And never leaves it broken or sore.

 

When you were young,

This is the boy you hoped to find.

A boy who treats you like an angel;

A boy who is sweet to you and always kind.

 

His kiss is so sweet,

And his touch is electrifying.

You will never leave each other.

He’s your true love-there’s no denying.
