Girls Like You (The Spotlight)

Girls Like You (The Spotlight)

A Poem by Luciole
"

About the pretty takeover in society. Enjoy.

"
Don't you know people will get bored of you?
And when that happens, what will you do?
You love the way people always stare,
Whenever you show up anywhere.
So what happens when that all goes away,
And no one has anything else to say?
What if you lost all of your beauty?
What if there was nothing else for the world to see?
What is society to do with girls like you?
-The only thing they can think to...
Allow you to be conceited and stand there, tall and glowing bright,
And just let you, for as long a you can, have the spotlight.

I like this poem. It is very true and shows what society makes of people in the spotlight for a while. Like the rhyming in this, nice flow.

This was a great piece. Inner beauty is far more valuable than outer beauty for outer beauty will soon fade but inner beauty will last a lifetime. Great wite

Wow! Really interesting and nice poem. External beauty will not last for long and is shallow. Internal beauty is eternal and more wondrous compared to its external form. Great write and wise words..

Interesting poem. I like it. I've never really been one of the pretty and popular ones, and always try to avoid the type. Haha. I really like the way you did this! Amazing job if I do say so myself. :)
