Girls Like You (The Spotlight)

Girls Like You (The Spotlight)

A Poem by Luciole
"

About the pretty takeover in society. Enjoy.

"
Don't you know people will get bored of you?
And when that happens, what will you do?
You love the way people always stare,
Whenever you show up anywhere.
So what happens when that all goes away,
And no one has anything else to say?
What if you lost all of your beauty?
What if there was nothing else for the world to see?
What is society to do with girls like you?
-The only thing they can think to...
Allow you to be conceited and stand there, tall and glowing bright,
And just let you, for as long a you can, have the spotlight.

I loved this. I hate girls like that. It isn't all about them. They need to realize that there is other people in the world too. Conceited people begin to annoying me after a while because they just want the attention. Thanks for sharing.

I loved this, it's so true. I can't stand girls who're conceited and think they're all that, and unfortunately there's a lot of those girls around. great poem =]

That's very interesting! And it does describe what a lot of people think, and stuff some people should learn. :)

This was really good and I agree, spreads a very good message. The rhyme was really is on the tongue... or at least, the minds tongue. Your poem flows beautifully, I really like it. Well done.

I love the message here. I gravitate toward pieces with a message but fear the rhyme scheme here infringes on that message.

Hope to read more of your work at another time.
