Fade, Pt.1

Fade, Pt.1

A Poem by Lucifer Jones
"

ramblings...

"

Where do you go when you fade?
When your breath and shape are but clouds on my mind and dew on my

skin... where are you?
Are you carrying me too? Like freshly tanned skin, in the sun too long,

warm and taught... heavier... yet comforting.
Am I there? Am I the scar branded on your skin?
Am I the memory you still taste on your tongue and lips?
Are you waiting for me? For my touch... my gaze... my breath on your

skin?
Or have you gone? Are you somewhere else, and I a mere whim?
Or is it a "him"...
Where do you go when you fade?
When your eyes and hands are but heavy scars on my face and body...
As if you were the sun sinking beneath the earth... turning dark... leaving

it cold...
I awaken to each day with a race to see the shine again...
And wish the shine would never go... But knowing it will...
Knowing it will slip from my face and sight again...
Leaving me to wonder... to dream... to fear... where are you?

Lu, this is spine tingling portrait surrendering, the gain of life's pleasure fading, the opening sentence
immediately draws the reader to a depthfully charged state of pondering, for what happens when
memories begin to slip into darkness, when passion that once was held close to the heart
begin to evaporate like so many clouds; once present and filling the blue sky of life with beauty;

now dissapating, leaving the heart empty.. yet the lingering effects remain as impressioning as ever
leaving the soul searching- desiring.. and like so many things that come and go- one still has dreams
i sincerely enjoyed reading this poem, the effects are felt in the consuming flow- the force of feeling

Leaves so much for someone like to think what happens after. I liked it and I hope I can continue to read more of your work. Keep it up ;)
