Fix Me

Fix Me

A Poem by Lucifer Jones
"

A song actually.

"
If you read my book of life today, there'd be pages that are torn. A story incomplete. A puzzle with too many pieces gone...
A tale of hopes and dreams shattered. A love song once colored by the sun, now everything cold and grey, scattered now that you're gone...
'Cuz when you're far away I'm broken. When you're not with me I fall and pray. You take a bit of me with you as a token. Every time you go away, but wont you please repair these fragments and stay?
If I give you all the pieces broken of my heart... Would you understand? Would you see? Would you pull me close and fix me?
If I sang you all the words unspoken from our start... Would you dance blissfully? Would you sing along and fix me?
As you read my book of life today, the pages are so worn. A tale incomplete, can you fill the empty spaces borne? Scattered words and pages tattered. Turned and searched for missing song. A puzzle un-assembled, weak and fragile because you're gone...
'Cuz when you're far away I'm broken. 'Cuz when you're not with me I fall and pray. You always take a bit of me as a token, every time you go away... Wont you come repair these fragments and stay?
If I give you all the pieces broken of my heart... Would you understand? Would you see? Would you hold me close and fix me?
If I sang you all the words unspoken from our start... Would you dance blissfully? Would you sing along and fix me?
