A poem about my frustations with Vampires in others books. and basicly why I wrote my vampire series.
Bite Me...
The vampires stream about.
Edward with his sultry looks and his noble endeavors of love. Fighting off the affections of a weak human girl.
Lestat only looks for out for number one, and stomping on history for his own gain.
Bill Compton, Drinking his blood from a bottle.
Dracula a story book monster, consuming innocents.
But no matter how many words I have read the questions always remain.
Where did you come from?
Why are you here?
and most importantly why are you alright with standing on the sidelines.
hiding in the shadows.
Letting the weak humans rule the world?
Vampires always seem content to sit back , feed and let history pass them by?
WHY.
My vampires remember who they were.
My vampires have ambition to make a mark.
My vampires are not happy with the shadows.
My vampires are going to war.....
Come by and meet Taylor, a power like you have never seen.
Meet Thierant, an old vampire with an odd habit of living a bit to load.
Meet the first vampires, and know their history.
Meet the vampires in LA, Which take on such a noble goal without knowing the consequences of their actions.
So if you like vampires, then come on by.
but I warn you, Taylor does not sing like a rock star.
Ray'nar has no end to his ambition.
Trisha, Ashley, and Amy, would never let some vampire protect them.
Come on by, but dont bring garlic, or a cross they wont help you.
of course I love vampires, and that is why I wrote a whole series on them. this is just to show the holes that always bothered me in other stories. if you are interested in IN THE BLOOD> check out.

Hmm, well I like this poem and I don't. Vampires are weird for me, I'm indifferent about them. I like the original vampire like Dracula but the new twilight ones I'm not too big on. So I do like what you said about your vampires. It's a different take on vampires and I think people need that. I'm just more of a fan of poetry that's more about human nature, and I felt like this one was more advertising your IN THE BLOOD story.
But looking at the purpose of this poem and not my own views I have to say you did a very nice job and I liked this.

I am not a fan of how vampires have just become popular because of Twilight, that almost bothers me in a sense. I am not a HUGE fan of vampires anyways, but I do enjoy reading some stories about them and I do enjoy your stuff and the fact that you are trying to be different than that. Good luck!
Yes, those are some of the many questions that people ask, and never get an answer. Very intriguing writing you've got here. It's nice to see some of your work in writing, although the audio is totally awesome, too! :D
Those questions always bothered me, too! Like in Twilight! I really liked this.. like the fatal believer. said- the topic of vampires has gone up the charts! This was simply awesome & the title draws you in! Thanks for sharing =-)
Caught my eye, of course, as I wrote a different piece by the same title. I'm working on a story that's somewhat vampire related - only in so much as it uses the myth within the scheme of it's science fiction. And yes, I liked this, as well.
I love vampires, but the topic is so popular that it became quite a challenging one, and I hope you have a good arsenal of unique ideas to embrace this topic. The biggest turn-off were the popular characters mentioned all over the poem/story. Overall, the whole teaser seemed a bit too simple for a serious book. And I'm expecting something truly exceptional from you. So yes... Good luck with your book!
Excuse me for being so obnoxiously pretentious, but the reason I'm saying all of this is because I know you can do better.
I am interested. Since you raised the idea about the vampire's motivation, what's keeping them from changing things to the way they want it to be. I am beginning to wonder that myself. Of course, if I had forever to do anything I want, I would certainly take my time writing and reading. Heck, learn to play an instrument or two.
Besides, if you get successful enough writing--change authors and styles so that it doesn't seem like your author found the elixir of youth. That's all that needs to be done there. I will read.
I like it. Personally I love any vampire series, and I'm huge fan of Twilight (the saga). But I can relate with you. And I wish you could post your book on here :( I want to read it, but I have no money and no idea where to get it. Anyways, great job with this poem!
I feel like I just watched a preview for this summer's big movie! Good job building your stuff up. Editors love this, (and so do readers). I'm interested in vamps and wolves no doubt. Always looking for different spins. Maybe should be careful about tredding so hardly upon fan favorites that resurrected vampires this past decade. Still, I'll be sure and check your stories out.
