Crayon Drawing

Crayon Drawing

A Poem by Lucid Dreamer

Crayon Drawing

I'll create a globe
and glue cotton to a blazing sky.
I'll dig a valley out of a mountain
and pencil in a man's shadow under an oak tree.
I'll place teary eyes and a stale lined mouth upon his face
and have his nose potent with the smell of the nearest lavender bed.
Then I'll take his tears and form a stream,
so when morning flies in he can wash his face of dry salt;
and once he gets a feel of warmth and embrace,
I'll turn a few pages and start all over again.

That's beautiful.. inspiring to try things which people deem as faded opportunities. An enjoyable read!

Written by a pen as deft as an artist's brush. The scene literally leaps of the page at the reader.

I really enjoyed this.

Beccy.

Thank you so much!
Wow this was so neat, it sent me into...almost like a magical world of my own. It had a sad yet peaceful feeling to it, it was beautiful. You described in such a fragile way it made me love it more good job :)

Thank you for the kind comments :)
Lovely imagery, I saw a kind old man molding life onto paper with such a carefree and content hand, steadily gliding across the sheet with every stroke. Great job.

Thank you and I was trying to make it seem as if I was really drawing this.
I picture it kind of like a stop motion film, or a claymation but with drawings instead of clay. This piece is so artfully woven together - from your delicate word choice to the image it paints. I especially like that last line, it's as though you have a whole book full of drawings waiting to be cast and written. Love it! Well done!

Thank you!
Its really deep, and a lot more than what the title hinted at. I love the simplicity of the title though, this is really a good read with great flow :)
