Oh how I Long to be BeautifulA Poem by LuciaOh how I long to be beautiful To have eyes the size of the sun And something brighter even inside to illuminate them And oh how I long to have a laugh that once sparked could set the world ablaze But my gums show and my teeth are narrow So humor cannot phaze And oh how I long to have legs so long they needn’t the necessity of stiletto stilts digging deep into my ankles with a wilted tilt Designed to be too tight for the proper flight of a woman And oh how I long to have lashes capable of butterfly kisses instead of crusted with hefty layers of Maybeline’s maybe invading girl wishes knowing deep down within me That when maybeline asks if I may be that my answer would be no- I was not born this way, no, I was not born properly made And oh, Oh how I long to have a waist so small I disappear and hips so large you can’t ignore I’m there, an hourglass figure whose only fear is the passing of time before her sand has run out Oh how I long to be Beautiful But more so, Oh how I long to be Me And Oh how I long To be © 2017 LuciaReviews
