Bright Morning Star you flew into my life
We lived peaceful in Heaven without any strife A shining light, I adored you like no other It was not long before I saw you as my brother I taught you to fight and you taught me to fly Our Father taught us both to never lie We made a promise under the beautiful stars To never be apart whether in Heaven, on Earth or Mars As the light bringer, your radiance overwhelmed my soul Perhaps telling you so is what made you feel pride at all We angels exist to serve with no need for free will It surprised me that you thought we could do more with our skill Wrapped up in your wings you tell me we could together do great things Tearing away I tell you my place is by Father even though it stings Covering your pain with pride you gather those with no soul to sell And against our Lord, God and Father you rebel Staring at you from across the battlefield, our promise broken On opposite sides of the spectrum, no confirmation spoken Your shining white feathers fade into black From that day on happiness is what I lack In this war torn Heaven the light bearer now the adversary Knocked from his perch by a mindless missionary The Morning Star forever cast out by none other By his heartbroken pawn of a baby brother We reside in two opposing realms of Heaven and Hell When the star left my Heaven it was blackened under your spell You were always glowing bright, the sun at the start of the day Now trapped inside the unforgiving eternal dark night, that is where I stay Two brothers who betrayed each other, now with broken hearts A Fallen Star and a toy soldier, forever torn apart However I will wait all eternity to become what we were before The princes of Heaven and Hell to become brothers once more. © 2016 LucariAuthor's Note
