A Poem by Daniel Pace
"

I wrote this for my step-mom for mother's day

"
You let me and my family into your home
You saved us from the wind and the cold
You show as love and passion in everyway
Your smile blighting my every day
You call me son and I call you mother
You are a mother, unlike any other
I love how you treat me like I’m one of your own
I love how your love going to everyone you know
You are my mother, not by birth, but by bond
I will be your son, even long after the dusts from our bones are forever gone
No words I write, no song I can sing, can say how I love you so as much as I do
But, this poem is a start to show you what I willing to do, to show you all the love I have for you
So I finish this long poem, filled with the joy of loving you as I do
To an awesome woman, who I call mother, this poem is for you

This is very beautiful and it really touches me to know that you hold your mother in such high regard. My own stepmother is as loving and it's good to know that not everyone is stuck on the idea that only mothers by blood can be recognized as wonderful. :) Great poem!
