Pandora's Box

I felt many, many things that day

Not only your fists against my face

But a heart in never ending space

Happiness locked in a box

Hidden within a maze inside a maze

Of my mind and losing its place

So it never ever see’s the light of day

 

I can feel it washing over me

Like a tidal wave from the sea

Thrashing against the rocks

This is what it’s like

When you open Pandora’s Box

Look into my eyes

A hollow man twisted by lies

Eyes as black as night

With a soul which lost the fight

I threw away that key

Forgot my history

Love and elation a mystery

Hurt and abrasion a memory

Literally wrote this in probably less than a minute, you can probably tell... oh well, bed time!

Hard to believe it took you less than a minute, but I suck at poetry so what do I know? It takes a lot for me to actually want to finish a poem. Very beautiful though, kind of haunting as well. Good stuff :)
