Deal With the DevilA Poem by LowesyI’m running up mountains And I’m swimming against the waves, I’m trying to jump to the stars But I can’t underneath these chains. If I could, I would make a deal with the devil, Trade away my soul. Come way down to his level So I can have the chance to grow old. I’m tired, yes I am. Yes, sir, I cannot
breathe. There’s a pain in my
chest. Yes, a pain that I
can’t relieve ‘Cos this monster
deep inside Is eating away at me. It’s breaking down my
pride, And it’s changing my
beliefs. This thunder is loud Beating inside my chest, Smashing to get out, My feelings are hard to express. One by one, My chances are looking grim. One by one, The lights begin to dim. I’m tired, yes I am. Yes, sir, I cannot
breathe. There’s a pain in my
chest. Yes, a pain that I
can’t relieve ‘Cos this monster
deep inside Is eating away at me. It’s breaking down my
pride, And it’s changing my
beliefs. If I could, I would make a deal with the devil, Trade away my soul. Come way down to his level So I can have the chance to grow old. © 2012 LowesyReviews
