A Wee Bit 'o PhilosophyA Poem by LowesyDuring my time I have seen many things that may shock you. I have heard ridicule and laughter, at the expense of my father, When the cackling of witches surrounded their pot of brew. I have saved my mother, from a drunken f****r Most of which I do not wish to tell you. I have seen pictures of war, of limbs that have been torn From their bodies and left casually strewn. I have helped friends who have fainted, because they were inebriated From alcohol and drugs which will forever elude you. I have fought and scrapped bodybuilders who have stamped On my friend’s face as he lay on the floor at his shoes. The point that I’m making, is that you cannot keep shaking Your fist at the road behind you. All of this obsession will lead to depression And that will be the end of you. Keep looking forward, I promise it will be worth it When you discover the other half of you. © 2012 LowesyReviews
