Heart Made New

Heart Made New

A Poem by Marinette Hope
"

A combination of a few of my poems.

"
A broken girl in the young of her life,
taken away by the darkness of the night.
Numbed by pain, frozen in fear,
too broken to write her own story, my dear.
Walking through life day by day,
letting her music carry her away.

Little did she know,
you'd been watching from afar,
picking up each piece of her
that she left behind in the dark.
You are the light at the end of her tunnel,
the light that melted all her fear.
The light that chased away her pain,
the light to protect her while you dance in the rain.

Piece by piece you helped the broken girl to heal,
mended by your caring grace.
Together at last, together you stand,
hand in hand you both fight through the past.
Her pain and numbness have been subdued,
she can feel again thanks to you.

She was scared to love again, although she knew,
you wouldn't hurt her heart made new.

I liked the story in the poetry.
"She was scared to love again, although she knew,
you wouldn't hurt her heart made new."
The above lines. Hopeful and needed. Thank you Marinette for sharing the excellent poetry.
