We All Bruise

We All Bruise

A Poem by Ripples of My Thoughts

I see the pain
There is nothing to gain
We are the same
We hurt, we wound
We all bruise.

The past is the history,
The future is a mystery,
Try to make a change,
Don't make the same mistakes they did,
From genocide to slavery and apartheid,
It killed, and shattered many lives,
It hurt, it pained
They damaged
We all Bruised.

This life is a gift,
Treat it as such,
Spread love, not hate.
Be real, not a fake,
Be the one with the helping hand,
Be the one to always stand,
To protect, to end this war,
Coz if you don't,
then we will hurt and we will wound
We'll all bruise.
