Ocean

Ocean

A Poem by Kayla

Twirling and circling

I have this feeling of emptyness

Standing face to face

With natures most beautiful

Staring long and hard

Deep for what seems like eternity

A pulling strength from the heavens

Calling me with soft warm wispers

Questions falling and crashing through my mind

This beauty will it be here

Through all war and strife

If it could crash through love and triumph

Would it effect the way we walk, talk, and love eachother

It brings people old, small, loving together

could it bring the world to always discover

Somewhere long, deep, and far

Would there be someplace, some land

No matter where you travel

You will always end up with a friend

Could this beauty change and help

Could it wreck and destroy

This is magnificent! Ahh, love.... conquering all. Which I believe as absolute truth.
You have beautifully expressed and penned some very relevant questions and concerns re the state of humanity, and the ocean metaphor is perfect!

Excellent work!

This poem is truly a deep peace. It feels as if though I can find hidden meanings inside each sentence as well as every word!!
I truly enjoyed your work...Especially the last two lines, which are in stark contrast to each other yet fit together perfectly.
Amazing work,
-Moonlight

This is a great write - I really enjoyed reading this.
I love that the ocean appeared to be present throughout the poem, a presence which brings people together. I also like that you have man use of language associated with the sea - for example 'crash'. And also the soft language you use also sounds like the sea.
I really enjoyed this poem as it was hopeful, powerful and inspiring, all emotions/feelings which I personally assoicate with the the sea (living very close to it). I think this poem works so well as it forces the reader to think and feel everything you are describing.
Congrats on a really well written and thought provoking poem.
