Waiting

Waiting

A Poem by MeowKitten

Did I ever tell you I’d wait?
If I did,
Would you stay with me?
I know you cannot forget me.
Yet, you can try.
If you decide to leave,
Know that you’re never alone.
When I hold you,
I pray you don‘t leave for
The words left unsaid will haunt us,
Smiles we gave each other will remain,
Wounds will scar us,
Ghosts will try to capture what we were.
Here I stand with this decision.
Should I wait?
Could I wait?
I am waiting.
