ForgottenA Story by Cheyenne Delay
Everyday is a struggle to survive, to live, a struggle to cope with the pain, but it's funny, it's funny because no one really understands the fear nor do they ever care to understand. See I'm terrified to care in belief that I am unworthy, unworthy of love if I must say. They never see the truth all they find are pile of lies, and a long list of all the I'm fine, but really on inside I'm breaking down, I'm dying, and I find it hard not to cry. It's tough staying strong but it's what I have to do there's no feeling sorry for myself and no hopes of someone taking the pain away. I must realize I live in the dark now and once you're there, there's no turning back. People think its simple to find your way out of darkness, just head for the light but it's not that easy the darkness is like a cage and depression is it's bait. In the dark you're never safe you realize the monsters you've been fighting your whole life has been nothing but a spitting image of your own reflection. You truly understand the meaning of being alone, you find silence in the dark, nothing but the echo of your own cries. You begin to wonder where things went wrong, and you try to remember how you wound up in this horrific place, but your memories are vague. Your heart begins to lose it's beat, your breathing becomes faint, your sense of wrong and right have been lost and in the end you're nothing but a lost soul, you're a shadow, you're forgotten.
