Fleeting Snowflake MemoriesA Poem by LuciaYay! Got 100% on this English poem! [Though not how I usually write]The world is still. Close your eyes and breath in the smell of childhood memories; snow. My squinting eyes meet the sun's harsh glow, Of the freshly fallen, powdery snow. Whoosh! The playful wind whips at my nose, As numbness spreads from my fingers to my toes. Lacy little flakes, fall all around. No two of the same can be found. With an outstretched tongue, the battle initiates. Mr. Snowflake will loose, a wet fate he awaits. Swiftly now, the flakes are falling; Like mother's, to their children calling. With unending laughter, kid's continue to play. Asking, "Say! Can we stay later today?" Mother Nature sends but one Virgin snowfall a year. A purity reminisced about throughout our lives. I remember it well, winter's captivating spell. © 2010 LuciaAuthor's Note
