When will Winter Come?

When will Winter Come?

A Poem by Lucia
"

Tell me how this poem really makes you feel? Enjoyable, or is their further meaning? yeah, I know it's to long.

"

He holds on tight with all his might

ginving it his all, he takes a deep

bracing himself, knowing what's coming

that strong, wild wind

The powerful wind whips around this way and that

helpless, he can't take it anymore

His briliant colors shine in the light

the bright sun's rays are golden

but prettier than gold

with much more worth

The powerful wind whips around this way and that

helpless, he can't take it anymore

The sun is shining brighter now

making him transparent, nearly translucent

an extrodinary sight to see

the last leaf on the tree

The powerful wind whips around this way and that

helpless, he can't take it anymore

Should he let go?

isn't it his job to keep Fall intact?

is it worth it anymore?

holding on to the sands of time is tough

The powerfulk wind whips around this way and that

helpless, he can't take it anymore

Keeping Winter from coming and Fall in place

is rough when your all alone

letting go, not meddeling with destiny

it crosses his mind as it has done so before

The powerful wind whips around this way and that

helpless, he can't take it anymore

Blink and breath, it's hard for a leaf

the lonliness has concealed his for too long

let the next season move on

it can't be Fall forever

The powerful wind whips around this way and that

helpless, he can't take it anymore

The leaf looks up at the sun

exased, she needs a break

but not the clouds

they are full enough to cast flurries

The powerful wind whips around this way and that

helpless, he can't take it anymore

They depend on him

Winter will or will not come, due to his choice

now is the time

the current addresses this situation with glee

The powerful wind whips around this way and that

helpless, he can't take it anymore

The leaf takes one last look at the ground

"I'm coming my friends!"

uncertain yet curious

he begins his decent

The powerful wind whips around this wway and that

helpless, he can't take it anymore

down in magical spirals he goes

as the Sun,Clouds, Wind, and Winter cheer solemnly

a smile forms as he hit the ground and untenses

among friends, he can finally rest

Very imaginative. I loved the way it unfolded as you read it, so that the ending was not anti-climactic.

Lots of imagery and very lyrical. It makes me feel peaceful at the end.

The poem also makes me feel relieved.

Relieved that another poet has found relief in getting their ideas on paper. Gosh, I have such a bad case of Writers Block...

Back to the writing, over all, very nice. It's sort of repetitive, and looks like lyrics a bit, but flows very nicely.
