Soul MatesA Poem by Peter DasilvaImagine a dream where you meet your soul mate.A dream
incomparable a love untouchable He was a
the boy and she was the girl and they were inseparable This was
a dream an unrealistic world, where there was a heart that was meant to be
shared One half
was his and the other was hers in this vivid dream that heart was a cure A dream
with a tale of a love like no other; not like a sister a mother or a brother This
love was different like winter and summer, this one was proof they were meant
for each other The
light from her eyes had to come from the moon, when he stared at her is like
you stare at you Just how
the moon would call on the ocean, his lips would call for a taste of hers too They
spoke not a word not a sound could be heard, she was a princess and he was
allured For no king
could resist no prince wouldn’t stare, the shine in her hair was nearly unfair Captured
her half of the heart that was theirs, he was a prince and she was ensnared His eyes
told stories through the loveliest gaze, and she couldn’t help she was lost in
his maze They
told her to trust him with the half meant to share, that he would protect it and
handle with care That his
hand would hold hers for all of the days that her half was with him in the most
guarded place She
would believe him and gave him the half, he took it and placed it where the
other was last He said
she could keep his that it was meant to be shared, so she went to place it
where the other was last When
they had finished the ground started shaking, he took her hand and began to
awaken. They
started to dim from this dream so unreal, no word could explain what it felt
like to feel In the
worst kind of way all of it faded, when her eyes finally opened and his had awaited, With
tears in his eyes he said “it was you”, with glistening eyes she the same too. They now
understand what it feels like to feel but this dream was different this one was
real Heart
beating faster and they felt more alive, the halves that they shared had made
them realize That all
of this happened right in front of their face, there holding hands their lips
would conflate This dream incomparable was painted by fate. This dream didn’t fade as together they said...... “soul mate”
