Forget You

I wrote out my heart.
Just to take back every word.

Your face read the words:
Danger, deceit and mischief.

I failed to take caution
And dove right in.

You gave me all I wanted.
But I quickly forgot about myself.

Now look how you left me.
Broken, crying, an emotional wreck.

But I am sure to get over this
And pick myself back up.

I can't take anything back.
But I promise that I'll be okay.

Time to slow things down.
And forget you.
