Dear Jaycie

Dear Jaycie

A Story by JaceJordd

Dear Jaycie,

From the first time I spoke to you when you weighed 184 lbs. that "You're gonna be overweight for the rest of your life and you can't do anything about it." I labeled foods good and bad. I've told you you're fat and worthless. I've told you no guy would ever want you because you're fat. I've told you you're a failure and a disappointment. I've told you it's surprising you have friends and that no one likes a sick slob.  You listened to me like I was God when I said the most horrifying things to you. You've let it turn your life upside down. I control you now. You must stop listening to me if you want your life to be free.

In order to get rid of me, you must stand up for yourself and believe in yourself. You must learn to love yourself and stop waiting for my acceptance... for I will never approve. It is possible for you to exist without me. You must find oyur own identity and become your own person.

      Signed,

        Your Eating Disorder.

Jaycie, I don't know you but I honestly wish I did. Like I legit want to be your best friend. This is so inspiring. You are beautiful. Do not ever let anyone not even yourself EVER tell you anything but. Your weight is not important. Not unless you were putting yourself in a life threatning position which as long as you keep healthy you should be fine. Weight is a number that some people take way too seriously. Don't be that person apperance is so superficial, when people bring you down because of weight don't even think about it. They're insecure. You are beautiful.

You're gonna pull through this, because mayonnaise buddies are STRONG and pull through everything! I'm not trying to advertise this, but give the blog method a shot! It can't hurt, and I think it could really help out :) You're beautiful as you are, don't let any invisible, letter-writing entity that is pop culture tell you otherwise!

Lots of love,
~Shay

Girl, you're going to get over this! Fight through it and try hard.

I love the way you send the letter to yourself.

A very great write. And it's a great idea that one's disorder sends a letter to it's victim.

Hang in there, and I hope you'll get over this. :)
