To whom it may concern
I want you to know that I've learned How to be happy once more I am no longer blank to life's beautiful allure At least I think I have And writing here has helped I was able to describe All of the hell I had felt I no longer want to die And no longer cut my veins Grown from someone so depressed Into what I am today Although, I still find trouble In letting people in Where I once loved so quickly The process just fails to begin I hope it fades with time And I can learn to trust I'll figure out how to stop pushing away Before heart turns to rust But perhaps it has And Oddly... That's okay I'm more okay with being alone Loneliness fades each day Not because of companionship But I'm used to the feeling And as sad as that sounds It's ment to have a melancholy meaning I don't care if I'm numb Or may love again some day I can look to the future And be alone happily I hope this poem Brings those it may concern some relief I no longer feel stricken With everlasting grief I will live my life And I will succeed I can love myself And that's all I really need My name is Eric This was my hell I hope it has helped People who also fell I want those depressed to know That you aren't alone Yes, you reading this I know because I've grown From the same relatable pain So believe me: you can be happy again! And you WILL see life in all it's beauty If you stick through it to the end © 2017 Light |
