Thank You for the Pain

Thank You for the Pain

A Poem by Light
"

Thanking the one that hurts you. I'm not sure if I was being weak or strong doing this. Name is taken out and replaced with ------. This is not a sarcastic poem.

"

Thanks for the only month of my life

I've ever thought was real

Thanks for putting me through pain

I never would otherwise feel

You taught me many lessons

Perhaps too many in the time

That I was supposed to get better

I'm still working out my mind

You taught me what love is real

And the ones that are fake

I think ours was true

But had parts we tried to create

You taught me about pain

And what it really means

And how it can be so much worse

That what it had seemed

You taught me how anger

Can push me past what I could do

To understand true hatred

Of being so misunderstood

You taught me how

To deal with being ignored

I hope I don't use that lesson

No one should have that deployed

So thank you ------

For teaching me about hell

I hope I'm over you now

But I still wish I had never fell
