Inevitable DisasterA Poem by BrianThere is nothing more transparent than when a heart beating as one fractures and becomes.. the inevitable disaster."Inevitable Disaster" Shattered glass An inevitable disaster I first felt you fade When your eyes fell absent Staring off into space A weak attempt at Disappointment masking I'm not afraid! Not quite the fool That in my youth I acted We should end this now Because we are a torn out page With fraying edges And love is water-based You cannot spare us from The inevitable disaster! Delay the pain? If only there exists a way To mend such damage I would have to pretend My heart to you Ever f*****g mattered Sway in the gulf breeze Let the cool winds capture All the beauty that remains In your winning smile That kills me today And shall haunt me Forever after We were so very well-placed The perfect modern display Of what grandeur love makes And its inevitable disaster © Brian Milici April 10, 2011 May you always find your smile.
