The Most Human Color

The Most Human Color

A Poem by Prayers and Proclamations

Blue walls
Saw everything
Blue pillows
Never said a word
Blue bracelets
Hiding the truth
Blue tiles
Spattered with blood
Blue scissors
Lying on the floor
Blue scars
Covering her body
Blue eyes
Clouded
Blue lips
Silenced
Blue fingers
Grasping blue flowers
Blue toes
Taken their last steps
Blue veins
Stilled
Blue heart
Stopped
Blue casket
Closed
Blue carpet
Wet with tears
Blue car
Lights flashing
Blue bird
Flying away into the blue sky
