Believe in somethingA Poem by LoveAlwaysJBA poem inspired by my little cousin that I love with all my heart.
His baby like whines echo in this room
His snoring is sweet rhythm to my ears It’s a nostalgic symphony of simplicity of childhood Dreaming away with imagination running wild No nightmares to oppress over nor the slightest clue of evil So pure , so right, and lovely I wish he could stay this little The way he shows his love is mature wise for a young fella - who loves his comics Telling me to worry no more I will kill the bugs so they don’t hurt you Hurt is all I have felt All I feel with the stress and drama Maturity is pain, and his wisdom is brilliance The way he consoles in me about his little child like worries I am impressed by his sincerity Sincerity that people lose once they’re broken, or bruised Does he know that growing up means You must let go of character? You must let go of desires? Does he know selfish is the game? and pride is the game keeper? Oh, this game is played like a violin Mesmerizing us in the darkest of hours If only the sandman had a time machine in the grains of sand he ignites us with Or has the sandman lost his way to our pillow side? Because we've lost our ways Or Maybe all the little wonders we used to believe in Are for the innocent - locked up safe and sound but who has time for sleep ? When the worries keep you up crying to the moon Yet sleep is what we need to wake up and pack his lunch box for another day A day that will be filled with Dragons or Aliens Maybe even Super Heroes too Oh, these days will be remembered as his best days So I tell myself . . . close your eyes he needs you to believe in something - him © 2013 LoveAlwaysJBReviews
