A Day Closer

i always find a way to write about life...everyday its a different life poem.

Everyday its a day closer to death
People are afraid
people are praying
there not being normal

Everyday its a day closer.

Im not afraid
its not one of my fears
I may not be ready for death
but i'm not afraid either

Everyone says to hope
But i say to why bother?
We are gonna have to die and face a death soon.

But do whatever
it's you
and im me.

A day closer
and poof...
your gone,

Somewhere else...

To who knows....heaven?....another universe?....another body?

Interesting point of view. I mean most people would describe how terrible death is, how afraid they are, what are the going to lose ect. You did something different and I like it. I can even see something optimistic at the end. the "journey" to the unknown: "heaven?....another universe?....another body?"

You are self actualized enough to accept death as inevitable, maybe you have done enough to show the world your love that you are ready enough to say that you are not afraid to die.... person like you is rare, with deep courage and understanding of what lies ahead of you when you die is truly liberating, a quantum leap in your belief... Great enough.
