Singing Goodbye

It’s time for me to sing goodbye
Before I go I’ll wipe
That tear from your eye
I maybe gone
But I promise you
Life will go on
I’ll be there when you need me most
Watching over your shoulder
Will be my ghost
I’ll always be there for you in spirit
Hoping only to lift yours
Just call my name and I’ll hear it
Whenever you need to talk
Just look up to the sky
And know I’m with you
I’m sorry to leave you
But I just have to say goodbye

You can keep me in your memories
Or just erase every last one
Either way
My time has come
I have no reason to stay here and dwell
My time here is done
So now I say farewell

My time here wasn’t always the best
But I look back on it
And I have no regrets
The part I’m going to miss the most
Is you guys, my friends
I’m so sorry but
Here our journey will end
I’m leaving now
But I don’t want to see you frown
Lift up your chin
Because I’ll always be by your side
As I end this part of my life
I’ll walk away with pride

I’m leaving to start
A whole now chapter
I can’t erase what’s
Already written in ink
But I’m starting a new book
For myself I will begin to think
Try to figure myself out
Who I am
I want to erase this doubt
Picking up the pen
And putting down the knife
Starting a new story
I’ll be the author of my own life
The rights to this book
Are not for sell
Because this is my life
And my tale
