The DeerA Poem by Louvegrise14If only I could be a deerI love the deer How she flies gracefully over the land And enchants all those Who catch a fleeting glimpse of her. I admire her legs Those long, lithe, limbs Which take her many bounds away At the slightest sound of danger. I wish I had her charm That ability to captivate Mesmerize or hypnotize In a single glance or leap. If only I had her freedom The strength to go where I desired I would love a limitless life As free as the deer’s. © 2015 Louvegrise14Author's Note
