ComfortA Poem by Laura KateNever afraid of the dark when alone ghosts are my friends and demons I know they follow me around as if I’m their home, saying they've got nowhere else to go I’ve nowhere else either so we sit and we talk reminiscing the good times the bad ones, them all so many we've clueless as to where to start what’s done? what's unfinished? what still hurts the heart?
sharing drinks now we’re slurring ‘thank you all’ I declare ‘for with you - pain, misery and fear I have shared’ ‘no one else sees it, I'm not sure they care but right by my side you have always been there’ arms gathered round me cuddled up all as one ‘without you’ they replied ‘we would all be gone’. © 2021 Laura KateFeatured Review
